Trail Alam Budiman > Bukit Altantuya > Bukit Kapar

TM Team had gonna ride to Bukit Altantuya again. Hmm, this could be an oppurtunity for me to ride with them and test this offroad trail. As early as 0700hrs, Abg Nasir and I had arrived at the meeting point, which is Mamak's restoran of Alam Budiman. Tan Sri Mubin, Mohd Noor, Fauzi and few riders were already there. Yet some riders are still on the way.

By 0800hrs, everybody was here and ready to take off. Tan Sri Mubin had leaded us this time and sweep by Suhaimi. The first hill to conquer is Bukit Altantuya. An one shot climbing vertically to the peak. Luckily the entrance route is tarmac. It gave us a momentum to ride and climb steadily till we met with offroad trail to the peak. No big harm, little by little I managed to the top.

The ride was hold a moment, Fauzi bike had a problem. The chain was break 10 meters after start climbing. Never-mind, we have enough time then to rest and get some air.

Then, the ride continued with downhill and climbing and downhill and climbing again till we met a fences orchard area. We followed along the fences before we were served with final downhill of Altantuya. The downhill was quite technical, the surface was uneven and slippy make the downhill was fun and hard. All riders touched down safely, one two were falling down. That normal incident among lots of them in MTB.

To Bukit Kapar we ride headed to Puncak Alam and turn left at one junction. It is a small disposal area to cross over with few climb of small hills. There is a shelter at the foot of the hill. We took a break for drinks and power bars. Surrounded area was cleared and prepared for agriculture project. Tan Sri Mubin showed another 2 shelters on top of the hill that we should climb later. It was a big climb this time, really big. But that was not the peak, it's behind them. Could I make the climb ? I'm asking myself.

I ride just behind the lead, to see how he climb and conquer the trail up to the peak. It's ok for a moment, but after few slipperies I quited. It ate a lot of my energy and smash my ego level. I get down from the bike and push up till I find a suitable area to start over. Another break at the first shelter on top and continue to second one till we reached the peak of Bukit Kapar.

The peak was own by a local farmer. He plant pineapples, durians and ubi kayu up there. The peak was cool and windy. It served us with panorama of Meru, Kapar, Klang and part of Shah Alam. What a relieved. after all the climbs, the peak is a payoff of all sweats and tears.

We took the way down via Kampung Budiman and along Dragon Back (during Jelajah Meru) to Jalan Paip and main road back to Alam Budiman. We completed the ride at 1200hrs. End of route.

Enjoy ride, be safe.

Trail Kota Raja > Desa Latania > Alam Impian > Shah Alam

This Friday was Public Holiday for Selangor. Abg Wahid has arranged a ride to Shah Alam. The ride had gahthered few elite riders of RotorX like Lan, Abg Wahid himself, me as to name, Sutna, Wak Kayuhbeb and Haji Hamid. This ride supposed to be join by Wak Rusni, unfortunately there was unexpected matters had happen that need him more than this ride. It's ok.

As planned the ride started from Lan's Bike Shop at 0700hrs and will combined with Sg Kandis riders, on the way to Alam Impian. Started 4 riders from here, Haji Hamid had waiting us in front of Taman Maznah. We turned to Desa Latania, crossing Kampng Sg Kandis thru shortcut to Alam Impian. It is kampung environment, with small tarmac road. On the left and right are kampung houses, dusun durian and old palm oil trees.

Across into Alam Impian is Spira, the double stories link house estate. The infra and houses still under constuctions but almost 90% completed. From far we could see Menara UiTM and some high buildings of Shah Alam. The ride continued to the main road till we reached Plaza Tol Alam Budiman of new LKSA highway. We take left to the brigde crossing over Sg Klang to Seksyen 24, Shah Alam and headed straight to Dataran Shah Alam.

We take a break for an hour at Plaza Alam Sentral and was joined by Bro Salim of Andalas. Later Faruk and Herman arrived to join the breakfast session. With these two guys, the breakfast was longer than the time we were ride from Kota Raja to Shah Alam. Lan decided to stay longer, but we couldn't hold any longer. The sun rose higher and start to shine and bright.

We paddled back to Kota Raja with 4 riders. Abg Wahid and Wak sprint back. Sutna just behind them and I left far far away at the back. Go ahead, just wanna ride back without tortured myself physically nor mentally. Reached home at 1030hrs, safe and sound. End of route.

Enjoy ride, be safe.

Touring Kota Raja > Kuala Selangor

View Touring Klang > Kuala Selangor in a larger map
The morning sky was clear, sign of the bright day. The bike and I was ready for the touring to Kuala Selangor. As planned, Bad arrived from Puchong at 0730hrs. He looked eagerly to ride that day. Must be well prepared and to show off this time, I guess.

Sharp 0800hrs, the ride start heading to Klang for breakfast. Huh!! Since the day look to good to ride, we are lazily enjoy the nasi lemak and nescafe ais. No pressure, no torture. But we have set the ride should be complete within 2 riding hours and reach Kuala Selangor before 1200hrs. The distance would be 45km one way.

On the flyover to cross Lebuhraya Selat Klang

From Klang we took Jalan Goh Hock Huat heading to north, crossing Lebuh Selat Klang to old Jalan Kapar. The road lead the way till Klang Perdana and further. But from Klang Perdana it is no longer called Jalan Kapar but Jalan Keretapi Lama. The old road is side by side with the new main road, which also known as Jalan Kapar, but crossing the kampung area. After an hour ride, we arrived Kapar and took a break.

Pit stop at Kapar Town

The end of Jalan Keretapi Lama, re-enter main Jalan Kapar

The ride continued passing Pantai Remis, Jeram, Sungai Buloh and Assam Jawa till Kuala Selangor. With few stops for rest and break we reached Kuala Selangor at 1130hrs.

Kuala Selangor is an old royal capital of Selangor was an adminstrative capital once upon a time. It's famous with historical Bukit Malawati which is placed a light house, a fort ruins, and royal tombs.  Located at highest point of Kuala Selangor it was used to monitor surrounding area and ships and vessels that sailing through Selat Melaka. The hill repeatedly attacked and conquered by Dutch, Sultanate of Selangor and British from 1784 till 1824.

The Kuala Selangor beach is fill with mangroves swamp. A 2.4 kilometers squared of the swamps was gazette as reserved area rich with variety of birds.  It is also a transit point for migration birds and a home for lighting bugs or else known as fireflies. The reserve area was named Taman Alam Kuala Selangor. Facilitate with chalets, camping area and watch towers for birding activities.

After spending an hour inside Taman Alam, we headed toward Bukit Malawati with is located next to the swamp. The route close for public motorist. Only the park train allowed to the peak of the hill. Luckily, we managed to get approval from the officer to ride up to the light house. Thanks!!!

Next to the lighthouse is a Bukit Malawati Historical Museum. We rest here for prayer and lunch. The clock showed 1500hrs and the sky didn't shown any sign to rain. We decide to cycling back to Klang that evening. The ride back was smooth as this morning. This time, we used Jalan Kapar all the way to Klang town as we tried to reach home before dark. Trail Kota Raja > Shah Alam

View Trail Kota Raja > Shah Alam > iCity > Sentosa in a larger map

Its been a long break after Bagan Lalang Touring. Due to tight working schedule and some personal matters to attend. Last nite Farid held a nite ride to Shah Alam. For me this would be coming back warm up session.

The ride start after Isya' at Lan's Bike Shop. We heading to Klang town and ride along Federal Highway to Seksyen 7, Shah Alam. The ride was very tough for me. Everything just not rite. The breathing technic, the mind state, the body strenght and the bike condition were not syncronized. All this had put me down and fall back far away from Farid. The breath was heavy and difficult. The mind keep yeilding to stop. The body try to push harder to catch up. And somemore the gearing are out of control. The situation held for so long.

From Seksyen 7 to Seksyen 8, there were a big climb to the pick. Slowly paddle up little by little. Get down to Seksyen 8 the were downhill. Fuhhh!! That's not for long, another climb was served rite after that. This time more harder than the first one. Ouchhh!! Push a bit harder to the pick and I'm there on top. Fuhhh!! for second time.

We took a break at Dataran for half an hour before continuing the ride back to Klang. On the way back, we climb to iCity. Like usual, the was heavy traffic up to the hill. iCity has become another recreational spot for Shah Alam and Klang people, and surrounding area till Petaling Jaya.

Down from iCity, we're heading back to Klang via Cannaught Bridge Power Station, Jalan Raja Nong to Sentosa and Uganda before stop at N'CHOM restaurant for break and supper. It was exhausted nite ride for me. I shouldn't stop cycling for long. Even I couldn't ride at least i have to jog or walk. Let the machine and engine in running condition. Huh!!!

Total distance cover are 38.61km around 3 hours ride including injury time. Enjoy ride, be safe.
