Trail Alam Budiman > Bukit Kapar II

This is my second attemped on Alam Budiman Trail. As per lead by Sanusi and sweep by Mubin, this time we gonna explore a new trail discovered by them previously via 4x4.  The ride begins from usual starting point. After all riders has arrived and ready, we headed straight to Bukit Ramli. We have skip Bukit Botak and Bukit Altantuya due to late start time. Almost 45 minutes delayed.

waiting nasir after 2 minutes take off

Take off. An evening offroad ride a bit different from usual morning ride. I felt heavier and difficult to catch up with my breath. The rhythm imbalance and felt so exhausted. Following the regular trail crossing the dump site and we have reached at the entrance to Bukit Ramli. We diverted to right and climb to the top. The climb was not so hard and high but most of us struggling to conquer it. At this point riders split to two groups. One group had reached the peak but the other one halfway at the loop. Mubin ride down to check on the status of that group and come back a minute later.

hot and full stomach

“They couldn’t make it, they will go straight to Bukit Ramli first via chicken loop. We keep moving ahead and meet them there later”.

registrar as 003 downhill this trail

Few meters from the peak, we reached the point to downhill. This trail is totally fresh and untouched. Nor recorded riders had ride down this before. So, we the first pack to explore and enjoy it. Sanusi lead the down follow by Rashi, Rozani and another rider, me and Mubin. The untouched trail now had been touch by our tyres. The surface was easy but craved by water flow and fill with small to medium size rocks. All of us safely touched down to the ground. Continue the ride to second climbing point. Actually we had gone one round of the hill and back to the dump site entrance.

on the new trail

The second phase of the new trail begins here at the bank of the hill. The bank is unrideable, so we have to carry the bike to the top of the bank and start the ride from there. An easy climb. Few meters paddle up, my back tyre was slashed by a sharp rock. It was one inch of slash thru the tube. A rescue called to change the tyre. Thanks to Mubin for helping me change the tube and Rozani to supply me the tube with long nose. Not to forget Rashi that covered the incident with his DSLR. The clock showed 1845hrs, the trail is quite some distance to Bukit Ramli.

what ride who ?!!

the exception series was down to a razor sharp rock.

Other team was called for status update and location. They didn’t reach yet to the peak. So, Sanusi has called out the ride and relocate the meeting point with the team. We couldn’t reach Bukit Ramli on time and return back before sunset. It could be a disaster and put all riders in risk condition if get down in the dark.

The mission had been pullout. Both groups meet at the dump site entrance and ride back to Alam Budiman.  Overall, the ride wasn't smooth as we hope. this incident was the pull stop for today's ride.

Enjoy ride, be safe

Trail Kota Raja > Bukit Kuda > Klang > Sg Pinang > Rantau Panjang > Port Klang > Sg Delek

View Trail Kota Raja > Bukit Kuda > Klang > Sg Pinang > Rantau Panjang > Port Klang > Sg Delek in a larger map

This is the longest rideable trail for me in KLANG. This route is very high traffic with trailers and lorries from North Port Klang to various linked highway to KL, North and South of Peninsular. Especially along Lebuhraya Selat Klang and Jalan Pelabuhan Utara. You are advisable to be at very high alert and noticeable while riding here.

Early morning and late evening are suitable time to ride but not at nite. The risk is very high.

Total distance : 40km
Riding hours : 1 and half hours

Early this month Farid and I had create a new route for routine ride. 100% on the road and cover almost 40km one round, the route could be completed about an hour non stop. Started from Kota Raja it headed to Kampung Kuantan, Bukit Kuda straight to Klang town. From the town turn left to Sg Pinang until Rantau Panjang. At the T junction, take left to Port Klang via Lebuh Selat Klang. Pay extra alert here due to high traffic of trailers, containers, and lorries along this road.

Lebuh Selat Klang will lead to Bandar Sultan Sulaiman where the road meet with Shapadu Highway. Turn left into Bandar Sultan Sulaiman to get rid of the traffic. Follow along the road till meet with the bridge to cross to Jalan Pelabuhan Utara. Again the traffics here is quite busy with speedy lorries and trailers in and out to the depot.

There is a junction at the left to Kampung Sg Delek. Take this route as the kampung road is clear from lorries and containers. Enjoy the view of tidy kampung with local fishing pool and other small and middle industries. The kampung road will lead back to Klang Town across Kampung Sg Sireh.

At the junction with traffic light, there are an 3 options to follow. Straight to JPA, left to Pengkalan Batu, and right to Jalan Raja Muda Musa. As the shortest road to Klang is go straight, followed by left and longest way to Klang is via right. At the Klang town we used to follow Jalan Stesen to final destination which is Kota Raja. End of route.

Enjoy ride, be safe.
