Nite Ride Kota Raja > Alam Impian > Shah Alam > i City

Arrived at home around 9pm and laid lazily playing with Nissa and Qaireen to kill some time .. Felt a bit tired and think to forget about tonite ride to Shah Alam .. The phone rang. It was Abg Wahid over the line.

"So how? I'm ready. I'm going to pick up Emad first. We'll meet at Lan's place. Ok?!! "

"Oh Ok Ok, but I .. "

"See you there", he cut before I could finish my words.

Take a shower, quick one. And straight to Lan's Bike Shop. Wahid and Emad arrived and we cycled to Apartment Seri Proton, Sungai Kandis the meeting point for Klang MTB riders. Let's rock and roll.

All riders from various clans of Klang

We heading to Shah Alam via Alam Impian. The group split to 3 packs. Front, middle, and back. Depend on speeding level of every rider. I put myself in the middle. Right after Alam Impian Plaza Tol, one bike has broke it's RD.  The ride was held a while to fix the incident. The clock showed 2315hrs, by 2345 the incident couldn't solved and the emergency tour had been call in to take the bike out. We continued the ride just on the midnite.

On LKSA Highway

Dataran Shah Alam, meet up with other groups

At the Dataran, Kayuhbeb group and some riders from PUJMAC were there already. No head count was made, just a warm chit chat about their Ramadhan experience this year. The origin plan was to i-City, via Section 8, and Section 7.

First ride in Ramadhan's nite

i-City is the new nite tourist spot of Klang. It was fill with glowing artifial trees and other decorations.  And accessible from Bukit Raja Industrial and Section 7 Shah Alam.  During weekdays, it received around 5000 visitors and reached to 10000 visitors during weekends nite.

Trail Putra Perdana > Cyberjaya > Putrajaya

This week will be the last weekends before Ramadhan. Being in duty on nite shift won't be any harm to stop me cycling this morning. Since I couldn't join Rotor X Team Nite Ride, I have to replace the ride with something equivalent in distance at least. So I decided to have a morning ride from Putra Perdana to Putrajaya.  So I called Bad, inviting him to join and he agreed. I've invited Adznee as well but unfortunately he couldn't make it. He rather read this report than ride with me.  Maybe next ride.

Exclusively from Perdana Lakeview

Jambatan Seri Saujana at the background

It was windy outside around 6 am, then later around 630 it started to rain.  It is not heavy but just dizzily till 7 am.  Pick up the phone and call Bad.  It still raining in Putra Perdana but he was already at the meeting point. Half an hour later, I have arrived at the point. The rain was stop and it's kind of cool.  Just right for Bad to make a come back after long hanging his bike at home.

A comeback ride

We started paddling at 9 am heading to Selangor Science Park 2 thru ungazetted highway.  It will be use to link Putra Perdana to Cyberjaya and Elite Highway.  SSP2 was connected via another shortcut to Cyberjaya just right behind the MMU.  The sun still hiding behind the thick clouds and the winds blow gently.  Cycling in this condition was just feel right, ease and relax.

Empangan Tasik Putrajaya

Memorable fun and easy ride

We were served with a moderate climbs and downs from MMU thru MDC, passing few marathon runners in front of the Cyberjaya Terminal. Next to MDC is Perdana Lake View Eastside, which is locate a exclusive lakefront community. It is set with a track for runner and bike along the lake facing Jambatan Seri Saujana and Yayasan Pemikiran Tun Mahathir.  We paddled lazily along the track till it take us to an apartment area before we met with the highway back.

Jambatan Seri Gemilang and PICC

Thanks to God, the weather is just nice when the clouds still hide the sun.  We were in front of PICC, crossing to Core Island via Jambatan Seri Gemilang and decided to ride along the lake instead of heading straight to Dataran Putra.  While riding under the Jambatan Seri Gemilang, it triggered to ride along the bank of the damn.  Till Jambatan Seri Bestari we cross over to Presint 16 and continue to ride till the memorial mark of Penutupan Empangan Utama dan Penakungan Tasik Putrajaya.  The event was completed by Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad on 12 January 2002.

I live, I ride, I write

Magnificence ride thru the lens

While crossing, the lake is on right and the Putrajaya Equestrian Park is on our left. What a magnificence feeling. A few snapshots is a must for this blog update.  That was the last point of our ride in Putrajaya.  Then we headed back to Cyberjaya for refueling.  The clock showed 12 pm and the sun start to shine. Not to hot and still able to ride.  Having a mee goreng mamak and warm lime just to replace the burned calories along the ride.  The ride continue to Putra Perdana, estimated around 15 minutes for another 5 km ride. The weather back to cloudy again and showed sign of raining later.  We still maintaining the ride at very low tense till we reached the Bad's shop. End of route.

Among famous spot for outdoor photo session

Let's rock and roll

Enjoy ride, be safe.

Jamboree > NTMTBA10

Nibong Tebal Mountain Bike Adventure 2010

NTMTBA10 was my first Jamboree since involve of MTB world. With main objective to gain as much experience as well as a benchmark to rank myself. I don’t expect much, even if I could complete the trail is a victory.  To get any medal and being in first 700 slightly a chance and far away from top 100 of gold medallists. All these thing being in my head all the way from Klang to Nibong Tebal. How it’s gonna be ?!! Huh!!!

Enjoy ride, be safe

Saturday July 31

The bag has ready since last nite. Pack with minimal clothing plus toiletries and some medic supplies, in case of emergency. The Fuji was ready since last week. After full service and crank set change due to bibic failure. The bike was take out for test ride and training to Alam Budiman Trail and Kajang > Sungai Tangsi Offroad. The test passed with somewhat satisfied and just need minimal adjustment of braking system. The rear brake still not at 100% reliability. It doesn’t fully grip the disc and stop the tyre. Need a reinforcement of front brake to control the speed and manoeuvre.

Around 12 pm all riders has ready at Lan’s Bike Shop. Wak Rosni, Bro Wahid, Bro Usop and I were going with Bro Farid’s Pergio. It is a comfort and huge van. All bikes were arranged at the back. The Veterans were on board with all the bags. Farid was a pilot and me as a sleeping co pilot at the cockpit.

Let’s rock and roll.

We’ve arrived at Nibong Tebal at 6 pm. Check in to the homestay then we went to USM for goodies collection and attendant confirmation. 1634 was my plat number with 4 check point stickers to collect along the trail tomorrow. Later we went back to the town for ration supply and having light dinner. We headed to the house to rest and get ready for the NTMTBA10. Yeahhh!!!
