Trail Alam Budiman > Bukit Altantuya > Bukit Kapar

TM Team had gonna ride to Bukit Altantuya again. Hmm, this could be an oppurtunity for me to ride with them and test this offroad trail. As early as 0700hrs, Abg Nasir and I had arrived at the meeting point, which is Mamak's restoran of Alam Budiman. Tan Sri Mubin, Mohd Noor, Fauzi and few riders were already there. Yet some riders are still on the way.

By 0800hrs, everybody was here and ready to take off. Tan Sri Mubin had leaded us this time and sweep by Suhaimi. The first hill to conquer is Bukit Altantuya. An one shot climbing vertically to the peak. Luckily the entrance route is tarmac. It gave us a momentum to ride and climb steadily till we met with offroad trail to the peak. No big harm, little by little I managed to the top.

The ride was hold a moment, Fauzi bike had a problem. The chain was break 10 meters after start climbing. Never-mind, we have enough time then to rest and get some air.

Then, the ride continued with downhill and climbing and downhill and climbing again till we met a fences orchard area. We followed along the fences before we were served with final downhill of Altantuya. The downhill was quite technical, the surface was uneven and slippy make the downhill was fun and hard. All riders touched down safely, one two were falling down. That normal incident among lots of them in MTB.

To Bukit Kapar we ride headed to Puncak Alam and turn left at one junction. It is a small disposal area to cross over with few climb of small hills. There is a shelter at the foot of the hill. We took a break for drinks and power bars. Surrounded area was cleared and prepared for agriculture project. Tan Sri Mubin showed another 2 shelters on top of the hill that we should climb later. It was a big climb this time, really big. But that was not the peak, it's behind them. Could I make the climb ? I'm asking myself.

I ride just behind the lead, to see how he climb and conquer the trail up to the peak. It's ok for a moment, but after few slipperies I quited. It ate a lot of my energy and smash my ego level. I get down from the bike and push up till I find a suitable area to start over. Another break at the first shelter on top and continue to second one till we reached the peak of Bukit Kapar.

The peak was own by a local farmer. He plant pineapples, durians and ubi kayu up there. The peak was cool and windy. It served us with panorama of Meru, Kapar, Klang and part of Shah Alam. What a relieved. after all the climbs, the peak is a payoff of all sweats and tears.

We took the way down via Kampung Budiman and along Dragon Back (during Jelajah Meru) to Jalan Paip and main road back to Alam Budiman. We completed the ride at 1200hrs. End of route.

Enjoy ride, be safe.
